An early Polerouter caliber 215/2

Outstanding piece in beautiful unpolished condition, recently serviced and running strong. The caliber 215 was the first “Microtor”. The case is slightly thinner than the 218/2 models and is tighter between the lugs. Polerouters, which had always the status of high-quality luxurious watches and costs 60 years ago as much as a Rolex Explorer became the today´s iconic dress watches. A high quality and black glossy leather strap is a good choice for this piece.

The Lejour Rallye “Andretti”
Lejour operated as the U.S. distributor for the french brand Yema in the 1960’s and 1970’s. These models were named after the italian american Formula 1 legend Mario Andretti who has worn them on his wrist.

Pure elegance -Polerouter Date with black cross-hair dial
A fine vintage watch, unpolished with sharp twisted lugs, original crown and engraved caseback. This classic black Polerouter is equipped with date function, has the applied logo and patina on it´s original dauphine hands and lume dots. The signed Universal Genève calibre 218-2 automatic movement was checked by our watchmaker and keeps good time.

Comes on a 18mm, generic stainless steel bracelet.
